Geert De Neef
Geert De Neef is the managing partner of AB Taxand BVBA. Before joining the Taxand project in 2005, he was a partner in various international law firms.Geert De Neef focuses on international tax law as well as on all tax-related aspects of corporate law, corporate structuring and M&A transactions. He also assists clients with the various tax aspects related to real estate. His clientele consists essentially of corporate clients, including real estate companies, investment funds and banks. He is the author of various books and publications in his areas of practice.
Geert De Neef obtained a Law Degree from the University of Leuven and a Master's Degree in Financial management from the Brussels Business School (summa cum laude).
Geert De Neef is fluent in Dutch, French, English, German and Spanish.

Laurent Strepenne
Laurent Strepenne is a partner of AB Taxand BVBA. He has more than 15 years of experience in VAT and indirect taxes, and before joining Taxand, he worked with the Ministry of Finance and various international audit firms.Laurent Strepenne is especially noted for his VAT expertise in real estate, VAT structuring in the public & non-profit sectors as well as VAT advising on cross-border transactions. He has extensive experience with the implementation of the European VAT package.
Mr. Strepenne holds a Master's degree in Law from the University of Louvain-La-Neuve University (UCL). He also holds a Master's degree in Finance Administration from St. Louis University (HEC) in Brussels.

Willy Platteeuw
Willy Platteeuw is a partner of AB Taxand BVBA. Before he was a partner in various international law firms. He also served as a Substitute Judge. For many years, Willy was a member of the Council of the Flemish Bar of Brussels and of the General Council of the Flemish Bars, where he was in charge of and contributed to the opening of the legal profession in Brussels to US and EC lawyers.Willy Platteeuw specializes in estate planning, and advises both private and institutional clients on the organizing and restructuring of family assets, inheritance tax, transfer of wealth to the next generation, incorporation of trusts and foundations, etc ...
Willy is proficient in Dutch, French, English and German.

Ghislain Joseph
Ghislain Joseph is the scientific partner of Taxand Belgium. He focuses on international tax law and US-related tax issues. He is a professor at Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel (HUB) in Brussels and teaches principles of taxation and international tax law. He advises AB Taxand in the aforementioned areas of practice.Ghislain holds several degrees in Law from the University of Brussels (VUB) and the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales, as well as a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Michigan Law School (Ann Arbor). Before joining the Taxand network, Ghislain was partner in, successively, KPMG and Jones Day.
Ghislain has contributed to several publications covering international tax law. He is fluent in Dutch, French and English, and has a good working knowledge of German.
